

Holly Dufek

Holly Dufek is a fourth-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture degree at California Polytechnic State University, in San Luis Obispo. She is spending her fourth-year at the Washington Alexandria Architecture Center while participating in the Solar Decathlon Design Challenge. Her interest in sustainable design has led her to pursue a minor in Sustainable Environments at Cal Poly as well.
She spent the first half of her fourth-year working with West of West in Portland, OR, where she assisted in the design of multi-family housing projects. In this role, she utilized Rhino 3D, Lumion, Revit, and more to create 2D drawings, 3D models, and realistic renderings.
She believes community collaboration and research are essential to creating healthy, authentic spaces that meaningfully respond to local culture and surrounding environments. She is passionate about creating adaptive spaces which respect and strengthen context while generating lasting value for their communities.
