Renovations

When the new owners looked to Maginniss + del Ninno Architects to develop their new brand into the existing salon and day spa, they found a design team that took their image beyond their expectations while devising a plan to allow continuous salon and spa operations during construction.

Tied together by a new, graceful, spiral stair, the design expanded the day spa into the second floor, more than doubling the space and separating the salon area from the quiet spa functions. Juxtaposing the stair accent wall of reused barn board siding against the smooth sweeping curves of the glass-shelved retail walls, the architects developed a soothing interior with a tactile depth.

Reorganized and defined by a warm palette of materials, the 6,000 sqft. space presents a series of carefully sculpted spaces along a unifying curved passageway. Accommodated by custom casework, clients receive a variety of services in the unique program of VIP treatment rooms on the second floor.
