Faithful + Gould
Tenant Fit Out
Faithful + Gould is an international construction management firm. To meet demanding time and cost constraints, Maginniss + del Ninno Architects worked in a design/build team with a general contractor.
A series of weekly meetings were held with the design/build team and the client to test various design ideas and product selections and update the budget estimate. Through open communication and diligent control of the budget, the client’s design intent was achieved while meeting the not-to-exceed construction cost of $350,000.
The space is located on the fourteenth floor of a new office building in the Carlyle district of Alexandria City. One of the defining elements of the new space is the “hotelling” work concept, which required giving careful consideration to lighting, acoustics, and finish. Because the space is mostly open, an equal effort was given to integrating the overall design of the existing building systems such as sprinkler, telephone and data, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing within the open space. The scope of the design services included space planning, material, and furniture selection as well as detailing custom millwork. The final result promotes the Faithful + Gould brand and creates an office environment that is a functional and pleasant working environment for the staff.
